TP: Treasure Seeker -- 2 - First Name
Jim, Hannah, Doctor Doppler and Mr. Arrow entered the room when Captain Amelia came in last and locked the door behind her.
"Doctor," she began. She had a deep, British accent and spoke in the most proper way and language. Slowly she spoke so Doctor Doppler would understand, "To muse and blabber about a treasure map in front of this particular crew, demonstrates a level of ineptitude that borders on the imbecilic. And I mean that in a very caring way," She added.
Hannah smiled, holding back a laugh. She and Jim were standing behind the Doc, but both could plainly tell he didn't approve of this statement.
"Imbecilic, did you say? Foolishness I've "
"May I see the map, please?" the Captain asked, cutting him short.
Doctor Doppler looked as though he was about to say more but looked over at Jim. Hannah did the same, but all he did was shrug in response as he shook his head. Reluctantly, the Doc motioned for Jim to give her the map, then gave her a stern look. Jim sighed an

On the deck of the Legacy, the crew was preparing for launch in a couple hours. Supplies were being brought on deck by cranes, and crew members bustled about checking the sails, going from portside to starboard making sure everything was in order for the long trip. One of them in particular was on the main mast, tugging on a rope that secured the main topsail. She seemed focused on her work when she heard new voices. She looked down and saw a boy coming on deck.
"How cool is this?" she heard him say. He looked excited, even from so far up. But before anything else happened, the boy walked right into Mr. Snuff, a fat, wrinkly creature. She knew his temper, and stared at the scene wondering what the sluggish form would do to the boy. Snuff taunted him first, with those obnoxious farting noises he made, messing his hair in the process. She gave a small snort, trying to hold back a laugh. Then another stranger came on the scene.
TP: Treasure Seeker -- Prologue
"Flint's Trove," Jim thought as he walked across the Spaceport, "The loot of a thousand worlds " And he was going to be there in only a few short weeks, at Treasure Planet.
The Spaceport was as busy as ever, with alien species of all types going to visit relatives or just getting away and heading towards who-knows-where. It was great day for travel anyway, with a crisp, blue sky overhead and a steady wind only made Jim more anxious to find their ship. As he looked around, seeing all the excitement and thinking of his own, he sighed and bent his head back. With all that happened back at Montressor, he felt a sort of freedom being away from home, and the chaos, and the normal day-to-day routine. But he was on a mission, he couldn't forget that. He sighed and shook his head again in disbelief.
With the Benbow Inn gone, he and his mom have nothing left. Ever since that Bones character gave him that map, things have changed. "The cyborg," Bones said. This "cyborg" is the one who burned
Red Riding HoodI want to believe people so badly when they say they won’t bite
that I contemplate climbing into their smiling jaws
thinking that it might be better to be split in two than left hanging.
But always, I draw my red hood and flit back into the forest
running in the shadows of pathways, never stepping into clearings
because I’ve spent my whole life in the wilderness
and I still can’t tell the wolves from the woodsmen.
You Were Not An Aquarium BoySea-glass became your bones,
brine your blood, and seashells
melded into your skin.
You were not quite an ocean
when you said "This is your sign to love me."
My body was like a building;
tall, cold, almost unbreakable.
I was metallic and sharp,
towering over your waters.
I remember taking your hand in mine,
conch and coral shells scrubbing
my skyscraper wrists, and laughing
about how one day you would
submerge every last bit of me.
Your lips, riddled with argonauts,
found my cheek and I cringed
at the coarseness.
You asked if they bothered me
and I finally told you "I
think I love you."
